your special occasion. With outside catering allowed, your reception
needs are unlimited.
The Thoroughbred Center is an ideal facility for conventions, corporate
meetings, conferences, seminars, banquets, receptions, theatre
performances, concerts and endless other social functions. We
offer an exceptional meeting site, advantageous
location, convenient parking and informative and fun tourist
activities. Our experienced staff is available to assist you
through all of your planning stages.
Whether you are simply passing through Lexington and
the Bluegrass, visiting on business, or reside here, The Thoroughbred
Center has a lot to offer.
 Pavilion - $1,000:
The Center’s sales pavilion, or 920-seat auditorium, was originally
built for horse auctions with the idea in mind to accommodate conventions,
corporate meetings, conferences, seminars, concerts, theatre productions,
fashion shows, and other social events. This theatre-style auditorium
offers a relaxing and spacious atmosphere with its red velvet chairs
and double-wide aisle ways (handicap accessible). A 60’ x 20’
stage, enhanced by a 24-channel sound system, is also available.
The Runway, located at the back of the pavilion, is ideal for registration,
videographers, photographers, or other set-ups as needed.
Lounge - $500:
The equestrian-themed, formal lounge is 2400 square feet of elegance and flair. Complete with its magnificent chandelier, adjoining kitchen, and a bar and beverage service, this room is ideal for banquets, weddings, wedding receptions, formals, proms, school parties, company parties, trade shows, and small business meetings. This room comfortably seats 200.
Pavilion/Lounge - $1,500:
Looking for a space that is not only ideal for your corporate meeting
or convention, but also for a “break-out” room in which
your guests may have one-on-one conversations and meetings with
prospective clients or friends? The Center’s auditorium and
lounge is your answer. Not only are they conveniently located next
to each other, they simply add to the hospitable and comfortable
atmosphere you are guaranteed at the Center.
Lounge/Runway - $600:
For guests who need a little extra room, but not too far away from
the Lounge’s main event, make arrangements to use the Runway,
which is directly adjacent to the Lounge. Oftentimes, additional
tables and chairs are placed on the Runway to allow guests a little
more space away from the music and festivities.
 Holding
Area - $400:
A unique and rustic area, the casual barn-like atmosphere, clearly
defines the Center’s central location in the heart of the Thoroughbred
industry. Supplied with a bar, this party area has become the best
facility around for sorority/fraternity parties, barbecues, reunions,
company parties/picnics, and many other social events. From the
doors of the Holding Area, guests may watch Thoroughbreds in training
on one of the two tracks located only yards away. This 8800 square
foot space is ideal for your casual events. Seating accommodations
up to 600.
Conference Rooms - $175:
Groups looking for a nice, quiet atmosphere to hold small-scale meetings will definitely be interested in our conference room. Ideal for board meetings, staff meetings, conference meetings, seminars, and other small events, our conference rooms are perfect.
Other:
Inquire about The Thoroughbred Center’s reduced rates for meetings
conducted during business hours. Coffee service and catered meals
are available. Parking is free and conveniently located near the
building. We can also arrange for equipment, furniture, bar service,
decorations, entertainment and other special needs.
There is an 18% service charge on all room rental fees.
